a graffiti touch...

so we're all used to the typical ho-hum cake toppers... they usually consist of either little plastic look-alikes - in other words, take your pick from the vast selection of blondes or brunettes - or they are a scrolly monogram, which can be quite nice in its own right, but let's be honest, slightly over done.

annie and mark, aka bushey, were going to have none of the previously mentioned and decided to take matters into their own hands. bushey, an architect by trade, and a graffiti artist (we won't talk about time or locations) and craftsman on the side, created the coolest metal toppers like none we've ever seen. "m+a" adorned the wedding cake, and  "bushey" in his signature style topped the groom's cake.

all things being said... we love!!

material girl...

i started my stationery company while working as an interior designer. so many materials that i work with on a daily basis leave me so inspired, especially fabircs!! i am constantly finding new inspiration in the textures, the color combinations and the feel.

when looking for color inspiration for your wedding, turn to the items that really get you going... it could be the shoe department at your favorite store, the produce at your local farmers market, even bottles of nail polish. just think of what you love and start there.

a hill country kind of wedding...

it's our first wedding post... couldn't be a better one than this. you're in for a treat.
ok, can we just talk about how great this wedding was?! jeff and kelly wrote the book on texas hill country chic, yet, with all the rustic touches, this bride wasn't going to let her girly touches go un-noticed. coral and gray (my absolutely favorite color combo at the moment) were the accents of choice... and best of all, get a look at the shoes -  perfection.
...........................................................................................................

i've gotta give it to ya, tim.
tim, with imago photography really captured the mood of the wedding with these pics. the lighting must have been a photographers dream - straight out a story book. {slightly cheesy comment, i know, but look at the bride's skin - that of which only a texas sunset could provide.}
...........................................................................................................

ummm... really? a white peacock? i dont know if this was the wedding planners doing or if they just had some sort of gourmet bird feed, but i'll admit it - i'm impressed.

the first {and second} kiss... we're feeling the love
...........................................................................................................

i'll confess... even being the texas girl that i am, i didn't think that a country dance hall could look this good. the heirloom photos of the bride and groom's families were the most warming touch. but just when you had your fill of all the mushy love stuff, there was a photo booth with an array of costumes to get as silly as any grown folks can.

jeff, kelly - i love you both dearly, congratulations. xoxo

blog time...

i am so excited to announce the start of love in print, a blog created by jayme fort designs! a little about the author...

interior designer, graphic artist, daughter, friend, seasoned bridemaid… all these things lead to the creation of jayme fort designs. with a background in design, the passion was always there, but after a 9 to 5 job in corporate America, I found myself still boiling over with creative ideas. being just shy of starring in my own “27 dresses” flick, the overwhelming amount of fru-fru bridal stationery became quite evident. I wanted to be able to provide fresh, modern stationery for today’s brides… thus began the undertaking.

with love in print, i hope to showcase all of the inspiration out there that keeps me going, from the obvious to the unexpected, as well as clarify some of the wedding lingo and expections. how's a girl supposed to know all who pays for what or how to word those complicated invitations? well we have the answers... stay tuned.

i hope you enjoy my designs and finds and leave feeling inspired!
